After months of delay, West Oxfordshire District Council has finally published its preferred site options for the new Local Plan — something Conservative councillors have been pushing for since March this year.
The plan sets out where the Lib Dem–led District Council wants to build around 905 homes a year, starting from when the plan is approved (likely in 2027) — meaning around 18,000 new homes by 2043.
We're pleased that residents can now finally see where these homes are being proposed. This level of development will shape our communities for decades to come, and it’s vital that everyone has their say.
Your local Conservative councillors are campaigning to ensure that any homes built must include the infrastructure to support them. We also need to see the councils working to get the A40 upgrades that the Lib Dems scrapped, back on the table.
If you agree, sign our petition below. Let’s show them that local voices must be heard to ensure the right homes are built in the right places, with the roads, schools and services to support them.
