The Lib Dem School Street trial in Carterton is set to go ahead this September, despite many local residents continuing to raise serious concerns about the impact it will have on those living nearby.
The scheme will use ANPR cameras to restrict access to several residential roads during school drop-off and pick-up times. While everyone wants children to get to school safely, that should only happen with genuine community support and practical solutions that work for residents too.
