Witney High Street Review

Witney High Street Campaign

The closure of Witney High Street to private vehicles has left many concerned about the future of our town. The Labour/Lib Dem/Green coalition at Oxfordshire County Council have pressed ahead with the closure despite only 1 in 3 respondents supporting the scheme.

The High Street has now been left in limbo with only a few planters in the road to mark any road closure. This has left many people, including your local Conservative councillors, very concerned about what the future of our High Street is.

It's time for the Labour/LibDem/Green coalition at both Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council to act and listen to the views of residents. We are calling for an urgent review into the closure along with a fully costed plan for our town centre.
