David Cameron, MP for Witney, recently attended a training exercise led by Oxfordshire Lowland Search and Rescue (OxSAR).
OxSAR, along with national Lowland Search and Rescue teams, work with Police and Fire services to look for missing, vulnerable people. It is staffed by trained volunteers.
David watched as the volunteers undertook a training exercise to find a missing person and learned how the organisation helps blue light services in these vitally important and time-sensitive investigations.
David said, “I was very interested to see first-hand the kind of work OxSAR do. The team of volunteers showed great professionalism in today’s training exercise. I would like to thank them for all they do to assist the emergency services whenever they may be needed.”
