During his constituency visits on Friday, David Cameron, MP for Witney, visited the Oxfordshire based independent design, environment and sustainability consultancy, LDA Design.
With energy and infrastructure a clear focus for the Government, Mr Cameron’s visit concentrated on LDA Design’s involvement in some of the UK’s most significant energy and infrastructure projects, including the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon – the world’s first tidal energy lagoon.
The visit began with an introduction to both the Chief Executive and Partner of the company, Mark Shorrock and Alister Kratt, who discussed their ambitious Tidal Lagoon project. LDA Design has pioneered leading edge projects such as the Battersea Power Station and the transformation of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This was followed by refreshments in the garden with the rest of the team.
Alister Kratt, Partner at LDA Design said: “The Government is clearly focused on increasing and delivering energy and infrastructure projects in the UK”.
