David Cameron opens Cotswold Line Cycle Route

David Cameron, MP for Witney, joined with local cyclists to officially unveil the newly signposted Cotswold Line Cycle Route in Chadlington.

The route is part of Sustrans’ National Cycle Network, running for 77 miles parallel to the Cotswold Line Railway, connecting Worcester and Oxford.  The route, which goes along many quiet roads, is a picturesque ride that will suit commuters who need to get from their homes to a station, as well as families and tourists looking for an enjoyable day out.

Following his visit, Mr Cameron said “This is a cycling nation and in the year we’re hosting the Tour de France, I was delighted to open the route”.
