David Cameron opens new play park in Carterton

 

Apprentice Town Crier, George Meyer to invited David to open officially the refurbished play area on Alvescot Road Recreation Ground.

 

The new playground has cost £145,000 and is funded by Playbuilder (£47,000), Wren (£49,000), West Oxfordshire District Council (£20,000) and the Town Council (£29,000).  The second phase of the project, which will be funded by the Town Council is the construction of a performance space. Plans of this will be on display on the Recreation Ground.

 

The play area has been in use since April and is proving incredibly popular.
