David visited Carterton Job Club today.
The Job Club was set up as part of the Carterton Fast Forward Partnership’s work to support economic development in the town. Funding for start up costs of £3,000 was provided by the Job Centres Fund for new work clubs and a range of agencies supply staff to support the club. In the process of setting it up, they received helpful advice from the well established Job Club in Bicester.
At the launch in April, David said, "I was very pleased to hear that the Carterton Fast Forward Partnership has set up a Job Club in Carterton. I understand that it is the first in my constituency and they will be working closely with the local Job Centres, RAF Brize Norton and local businesses. I hope the launch at the Town Hall is a great success and I am sure it will prove invaluable in helping those who are seeking work."
