Carterton Town Councillor for Rock Farm ward
  • Town Councillors

I’ve lived and worked in Carterton for eight years, running a local business and building strong relationships across our community, including with local schools. Like many residents, I’ve spent years frustrated by issues that never seemed to get fixed. Whether it’s the lack of investment in our town, the need for better facilities, or opportunities for young people, these are problems people talk about year after year. Instead of waiting for someone else to act, I decided to step forward and put my name forward because I believe in solutions, not just complaints.

I run a business based in Carterton that operates across Oxfordshire, working with people from all walks of life across the county. Closer to home, I’ve worked directly with local schools supporting excluded and SEND children — some of the young people who most need advocates in their corner. These experiences have shown me how important it is to have people willing to stand up for their community and push for the support local residents deserve.

I’ve also been involved in local cricket and rugby, and through that experience I’ve seen first-hand the passion people have for sport in Carterton. But I’ve also seen the reality that our town simply doesn’t have the facilities its residents deserve. For a town the size of Carterton, we should be far more ambitious about the opportunities available to local people.
