I am Emma Leeming, I have lived in Carterton for over 25 years. I went to school at Burford School and started working for the local Conservative Association in Witney when I was 22. I now have two children, Lily, 7 and Arthur who is 4. They both attend a local school and I am proud to live in Carterton with them, where I am also close to my family.
I have decided to stand for election for the District and Town Council’s because I am fed up of taking my children to the park and not being able to use equipment as it is broken, I am annoyed that my council tax bill is going up while local services are suffering and my hard earned money is being used on pet projects like the shambolic roll out of 20mph road systems and I want to help improve facilities for Carterton with the proposed pavilion on the edge of the rec.
Carterton is a great town and has a lot going for it. I would like to keep it that way and improve it for future generations.
